JOIN CIELO DE MEXICO

Ballet Folklórico Cielo de México (BFCDM) provides training in traditional Mexican dance to children, teens, and adults. BFCDM is divided into six groups based on age and skill level that allow students to grow as dancers. Dancers in all levels are given opportunities to perform throughout the season as it permits.

Tiny Tots

Ages 3-5

Mondays @ 4 - 5PM

Our Tinies are introduced to fundamental concepts of movement, direction, and steps. Additionally, students can explore movement and expression through the world of music! This provides an excellent opportunity to enhance your child's awareness and coordination skills.

Angelitos

Ages 6-9

Mondays @ 5 - 6PM

In this course, students are immersed in the fundamentals of zapateado and faldeo, and coordination. Students are introduced to stage presence as they learn traditional dances originating from the state of Sinaloa.

Angelitos

Ages 10-14

Mondays @ 6 - 7PM

In this course, students are immersed in the fundamentals of zapateado and faldeo, and coordination. Students are introduced to stage presence as they learn traditional dances originating from the state of Sinaloa. The dances featured in this class will incorporate steps of a more advanced level of difficulty.

Adult Beginners

Ages 15+

Wednesdays @ 6 :30- 7:30PM

Estrellitas

Ages 7-14 (Must be placed)

Wednesdays @ 5 - 6:30PM

This course intensifies the complexity of zapateado, emphasizing comprehensive coordination of full-body dance movements. Students will progress in refining their posture, skirt work, style, and footwork while enhancing their stage presence. At this level, students delve into more intricate choreography. Additionally, they explore dances from state of Jalisco. Performance is a primary focal point in this course.
